I love the snow. I love the way it transforms old, familiar landscapes, making them appear magical and new. Let’s hope this weekend’s weather continues and we wake up to a snowy white Christmas.

Happy Autumn
Posted by Sara on September 22, 2009
Today’s Autumn Equinox marks the end of summer and the beginning of one of my favourite times of year for taking photographs and admiring the beautitiful palette of colours created by winter creeping ever closer….

Carousel!
Posted by Sara on March 29, 2009
Spring is definitely here! Went for a quick walk along the beach today and was delighted to hear the haunting strains of the Victorian organ accompanying Brighton’s beautiful Electric Golden Gallopers.
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
W.B Yeats

Rainbow over Kemp Town
Posted by Sara on January 28, 2009
Up above the streets and houses,
Rainbow climbing high.
Everyone can see it climbing
Through the sky.
Paint the whole world with a Rainbow!

Merry Christmas
Posted by Sara on December 23, 2008

Seasons Greetings
It’s a Christmas conundrum, that’s for sure – just what picture to use to commemorate our first festive season at Thee Nook? First choice was dressing up Thee Birds as Santa and Rudolf but then we decided, albeit very reluctantly, that that would be a tad cruel and demeaning to our feathered friends. So instead here’s our Christmas Cthulhu, woken from his slumbers to pose by the West Pier. We’ve also included some interesting links on strange sounds emanating from ocean depths for you to explore. Merry Christmas!

Posted by Sara on November 14, 2008
Or does he? Looks from this photo it’s only a matter of time before all of humanity becomes enslaved. Crikey – it’s a good thing we’re pals…..
